Children’s Mental Health week ( 5 – 11 February 2024) focussed on a theme of ‘My Voice Matters’.

This awareness week encouraged schools to provide children with the tools they need to express themselves. (If you missed the resources, you can find them [here](https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/schools/#resources))

Empowering young people to express themselves leads to [a greater sense of community and self-esteem](https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/schools/#resources), both key protective factors contributing to positive mental health.

Unfortunately, many young people, still find it extremely difficult to talk to someone when they are struggling.

If you are a member of staff looking to support young people aged 8-18 with their mental health and wellbeing, our Youth Mental Health First Aid course can brush up your active listening skills.

Use part of your grant to access this accredited course.**
