Behind the Payslip: Celebrating National Payroll Week with HR Connect

National Payroll Week is an opportunity to recognise the dedicated payroll professionals who work behind the scenes to ensure employees are paid accurately, on time and in line with ever-changing legislation.
At HR Connect, payroll is about far more than producing payslips. Each year, our HR & Payroll Operations Team of 120 colleagues’ processes approximately 1.12 million payslips, supports 433 schools and academies and 16 local authority payrolls, and manages over £1.779 billion in gross pay.
Every payslip represents an employee who relies on their pay being correct, every time.
Our payroll professionals work diligently through complex legislation, pension regulations, taxation requirements, contractual changes and compliance obligations to make that happen.
Accurate pay doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of payroll professionals.
Maintaining an accuracy rate of over 99% is no accident. It is the result of the expertise, professionalism and dedication of our payroll teams, who work tirelessly to support customers and employees every day.
This National Payroll Week, we are proud to celebrate the payroll professionals across HR Connect and the wider profession who help organisations remain compliant, efficient and confident that their people will be paid correctly and on time.
Behind every payslip, there's a team making it happen.
